I was born in the great year of 1969. I was raised by the north sea with sand in my toes. I was a would-be rebel at school but tumbled through the hoops with grace, then let the rebel loose in London as a twenty-something, emerging queer, film-camera obsessed artist. Derek Jarman and Tilda Swinton were my heroes. Cameras of all kinds taught me how to see. I found my own soul in the mirror of nature and other peoples faces.
